Sea Bream belongs to the family of Sparides. Its scientific name is Sparus aurata. In the wild it is found in the Mediterranean Sea and in the eastern coastal region of the North Atlantic Ocean. Sea Bream is the most widely cultivated species. The main countries producers of farmed Sea Bream are Greece, Spain and Turkey.
